place_ad_here(“adPosBox”); contemporary tale about real-life British conceptual artists Jake and Dinos Chapman who shocked the art world in 2003 when they bought expensive anti-war Goya etchings and drew funny faces on them. That play’s message was the same: who is god?The Foothill Peninsula staging is a complex show and quite a technical feat. It’s filled not just with heavy metal music but also costuming make-up and effects. Twenty-six actors all current or former students of the Foothill Theatre Conservatory play 61 roles. In director Tom Gough’s head-banger staging both Mephistopheles and the devil are portrayed by women and referred to in the story as “she. ” It all works fine. Faustus’s sprawling adventures and misadventures are punctuated regularly by a zombie posse of Lucifer’s assistants dressed in striking heavy metal regalia and make-up who headbang to loud music and smoke effects.

Sony “reveals” PSP Go new Ico Metal Gear Solid games

The question was did Sony still have surprises after the “leak” of the PSP Go? The company could be counted on to offer its presentation using the best audio and visual equipment available but there had to be some bang to go along with all the flash. The company did announce what it called “the worst-kept secret of E3″ the PSP Go which will go on sale on ctober 1 for $250 in North America. Media Go will allow you to easily share media between the system and your PC and a program called “Sense Me” will generate music playlists depending on your tastes. You’ll be able to buy or rent video directly through the system instead of having to use the PS3 as an intermediary and if you’re worried about what games will be available as downloads you can stop: all games moving forward will be available in both retail and digital flavors. Sony seems serious about digital although the pricing on the PSP Go may be a hard sell these days. Sony is once again offering some of the coolest—and most expensive—hardware. The company is also getting into the motion-controller game showing off hardware with motion sensors and buttons.

DISTURBED Guitarist: Don’t Call Us ‘Nu Metal’ – June 3 2009

We Love Metal: Do you think those classifications are hurting metal sales? Like if you get classed as metal do you think that is hurting you on a mass scale?Dan: I really don’t put that much thought into it. You know we just write music that is right for us. Whatever category someone feels comfortable putting us in you know they can go ahead but I never really bothered looking at it that way of where do we fit in because people are confused of where does DISTURBED fit. Nowadays heavy metal it seems the term is changing quite a bit. Like I said when we were growing up heavy metal were those classic metal bands. Today’s heavy metal at times seems to be who can play the fastest or scream the loudest or have the most monotone vocals.

June 2 2009 5:24 pm Link Fluxivity your comments are *S* Inaccurate & *Totally* *Ignorant*! You don’t know what you are talking about at all! I have been a huge highly impressed Beatles fan especially a big John Lennon & Paul McCartney fan since I was 9 I got my first Beatles book for my 11th birthday & I had every Beatles album by age 13. I was only 5 when they broke up too. When I was 11 I had a music teacher ask us students to guess what music artists he was talking about when he said they were genuises & they wrote 200 songs most of them great acclaimed popular songs in just an 8 year recording career & I said John Lennon & Paul McCartneyThe Beatles & he said yes thats right! The Beatles are the most critically acclaimedpopular *Rock* band *ever* & for darn good reasons & they are the most covered music artists ever! Everyone from Motown to jazz classicial rock pop & even heavy metal has recorded their great timeless music! There are many music professors at good universities who teach college courses on what brilliant innovative creative & prolific singer song writers they were!ne of them is award wining music professor & classical composer Dr. Glenn Gass at Indiana University who has been teaching a course on rock music & The Beatles brilliance since 1982. Even Eric Clapton says in an online 1977 interview that John Lennon was a pretty good guitar player & he would have known since he played live in concerts with John as a member of his 1969 Plastic no Band! And both John & Paul are also as The All Music Guide says in their excellent Beatles biograohy not only such great song composers but they were both among the best & most expressive singers in rock! And many well known accomplished bass players including Stanley Clarke Sting Will Lee Billy Sheehan & Wilco’s John Stirratt and other musicians recognize Paul McCartney as one of the best most creative melodic bass players ever! I could on with more information but there’s too much to write that debunks the ignorant cr*p you said. They wrote so many great *rock* songs and wrote so many great *rock* albums. I really don’t understand how you can say they were a great “skiffle” band thats what they were in the late 1950’s when they were teens and hasd just got together.
