Lamb of God hits the charts ‘” and the South Bay
San Jose Mercury News
That didn’t keep the hard rocking quintet from debuting at the lofty number two position on the Billboard 200 album chart last month. The out-of-the-chute commercial success of the band’s new “Wrath” CD clearly delighted Lamb of God guitarist Mark Morton at least for a few weeks. “We’re not exactly a Top 40 or a radio band” says Morton. “So to see it debut at number two was pretty exciting.

Metal matters the most to Small

I continually stress that this isn’t a Dethklok show. Some people they just immediately equated that because I was going out that this was a Dethklok show so I want to make sure that they know that this isn’t a Dethtour; there will be one soon. The Dethtour is like a combination of live music and animation this whole coinciding of two different things meeting together nicely and this is going to be about the kids this show. So I mean I’ll be onstage I’ll be hanging out we will be doing Dethklok stuff but it’s pretty hard to play and the kids from what I understand are nailing it all. We’ll be doing some of that stuff and it’s just a really cool set list all in all. Q: Is that something you could ever see happening on the show Dethklok teaching metal to a bunch of kids and taking them on the road?A: h absolutely. I mean we kind of pitch those ideas back and forth.

Each participates annually in staged performances featuring its brightest All-Star pupils and such infamous rock musicians as Peter Frampton Frank Zappa Alice Cooper Yes’s Jon Anderson Slash Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder Les Paul and now Small. “That’s insanely exciting for me” exclaimed Green. “I absolutely love his show (and) music. To have something fresh new and apropos to 2009 is a great change. Also we’ve never really done a metal guest star tour so this gives the kids a whole different set of challenges. ”Students ages 7 through 18 obtain weekly personalized instruction from well-accredited music instructors at the School of Rock as well as group lesson geared toward eventually taking the stage. They earn their spots on the All-Star tour via auditions and travel by bus chaperoned by teachers and a handful of parents.

Hideo Kojima Discusses Metal Gear Solid Touch the iPhone and Apple
Macworld
But I?m kind of a minority? Kojima added to bouts of laughter. While he prefers to use Mac computers most people in his company use PCs and this often causes conflict. He?s also a big fan of mobile technology and loves music. ?Without music I can?t survive. Without the iPod I can?t survive. ??I would like to continue creating for the iPhone? he declares. With some humor he predicts that instead of merely touching Metal Gear?s world the ?next one will be ?punch Metal Gear Solid?s world.

Adam Lambert shrieks that funky music white boy
Newsday
I expect to be entertained when watching a “bubble gum” show like AI and Adam does not disappoint. Posted byBill Mitchell |March 31 2009 21:56I really get annoyed by those tone deaf amongst us that constantly refer to Adam’s power notes as “shrieking”. Guess you aren’t a fan of metal then? Fail.
