Around every corner Lips is trying as hard as he can to make something of his band. He’s like a 20-year-old kid trapped in a 50-year-old body that has just one dream: to become a rock star. I don’t listen to metal music. I don’t consider myself anything of a music aficionado. But this is one of the most heart-wrenching documentaries I’ve ever seen. You don’t have to even be a fan of music to appreciate the love these two men have for their craft. They have a passion that people could only dream about.

While I understand why everyone’s taste is different after all there’s nothing worse than struggling through a song you simply can’t stand. If you like metal this game remedies that. The track is at the same time expansive and consistently metal. It’s primarilly Metallica as the title would suggest covering all the band’s bases from their early speed metal roots (Seek & Destroy Sanitarium Fight Fire With Fire) to their later more mellow offerings (The Unforgiven Sad But True Enter Sandman).

We were quite happy to get in our van and drive round playing shows all around the country and make our name that way. You have to do that ? if you sit back relying on Myspace you?ll get nowhere. I think what?s happened with the music industry has really helped us and other metal bands; no-one makes money on record sales anymore which means your money is in live shows and the genre of music where people are out playing live the most is metal. Do you feel that the heavy metal scene both locally and nationally is one akin to a community?Totally. If you look outside the metal scene and at the other sub genres there?s nowhere near as much unity as with metal. This music is for people that are tired of everything else who wanna have that alternative choice and they?re not gonna be told to listen to the fads. I think that?s why there?s such a strong sense of community ? people coming to our shows and metal shows in general truly like us and haven?t come to our shows just because we?re a flavour of the month to a magazine.
