Death metal heavy metal black metal and even speed metal combine for a powerful first song on this album with Pantera guitar hammering moments thanks to help from As I Lay Dying’s Tim Lambesis. “range Country Blonde and Blue” followed continuing a insane death punch to my ears. Again I can not help but be reminded of Phil Anslemo and crew in this track as well as 90s metal bands with the chorus. “Germany” really reminded me of Bleeding Through’s earlier years with just non-stop drumming and almost so much guitar that I felt as if the song flew by way too fast.

Some of his most iconic paintings feature rock singers. “Warhol Live” at the de Young Museum starts out with guns blazing almost literally in three silk-screen canvases of Elvis Presley dressed as a cowboy legs spread pistol drawn and aimed at the viewer. In “Triple Elvis” the largest of the three 1963 works a publicity photo from the film “Flaming Star” is repeated three times partly overlapping each other and creating a kind of visual rhythm. It’s a strategy that Warhol would repeat successfully throughout his career.

To celebrate they’re taking batches of classic albums and reissuing them on lovely lovely vinyl with some of the records making a debut on the best ever format. Iced Earth – The Crucible f Man: Something Wicked Part 2The Crucible f Man: Something Wicked Part 2 from American power metallers Iced Earth came out in 2008 and as the title suggests was the concluding part of their ongoing Something Wicked saga. It picked up where Framing Armageddon left off in 2007 and saw their best loved vocalist Matt Barlow firmly ensconced in the band again replacing ex Judas Priest man "Ripper" wens alongside guitarist and songwriter Jon Schaffer. Barlow contributes some amazing vocal lines to what is a dense work and not the easiest way to get into the music of Iced Earth but there are some amazing riffs to savour on tracks like "Crown f The Fallen" and "The Revealing".
