I thus plan on continuing exactly in the artistic vein of CELTIC FRST. I had very a distinct vision of what the next two CELTIC FRST albums might consist of and I intend to eventually fulfill this vision and complete these albums with a new group. I would also like to continue touring and perform the music I have written in CELTIC FRST over the years for audiences all across the globe. “In closing at long last I am also deeply indebted to my friend Wrath of AVERSE SEFIRA for his forceful epitaph in honor of CELTIC FRST which stands representatively for the many comments I have received. comp –> By chronicling the rise of pop music in these unlikely contexts both of these unusual documentaries shine a light on subjects from which most Americans would prefer to avert their attention: old age in “Young@Heart” the Iraq war in “Heavy Metal in Baghdad. “”Young@Heart” which was picked up for distribution by Fox Searchlight after it screened at the Sundance Film Festival is a making-of concert movie; we watch as the singers — in their 70s 80s and 90s — prepare for their latest tour bending their minds around Sonic Youth’s discordant “Schizophrenia” and the Talking Heads’ “Life During Wartime. “What gives the film its dramatic structure is the fragile condition of the singers themselves. Fred Knittle for instance 81 and suffering from congestive heart failure that requires the companionship of an oxygen tank is slated to do a duet with Bob Salvani who’s just survived hospitalization for spinal meningitis. And two of those new festivals are on the West Coast. The first the Pemberton Music & Arts Festival will be held July 25-27 near Whistler in the Canadian province of British Columbia. Headliners include Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers rap icon Jay-Z and such Coachella veterans as Nine Inch Nails and Coldplay. The second the utside Lands Music & Arts Festival debuts Aug. 22-24 at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. It will feature Jack Johnson Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and such Coachella alums as Radiohead Wilco and Beck… But success can't be taken for granted even for a proven winner like Coachella especially at a time when the economy is diving and gas prices are soaring to new highs. While single-day tickets for this year's festival are sold out sales of three-day Coachella ticket packages (which cost $269 each plus service charges) have been lagging. This suggests that co-headliners Jack Johnson Roger Waters and Portishead together do not have the box-office appeal of rap-metal favorites Rage Against the Machine whose fiery reunion performance at Coachella last year is widely credited for fueling the festival's fastest sellout ever. Refusing to rest on his laurels Tollett last week added Prince to replace Portishead as the headliners for Saturday's show. (Portishead will now perform in the No. ) Industry insiders believe this is precisely the kind of savvy move needed to provide a major last-minute attendance boost.

“Pontus is a fantastic guitar player with musical roots in ACCEPT and neo-classical metal” commented HAMMERFALL drummer Anders Johansson. “I have known him for many years. I know how he works as a musician and as a person. ” Pontus said in a statement: “I like HAMMERFALL. I think they have amazing stage shows and I like their songs so when I heard they were looking for a guitar player I thought I’d give it a try… ” Pontus said in a statement: “I like HAMMERFALL. I think they have amazing stage shows and I like their songs so when I heard they were looking for a guitar player I thought I’d give it a try. Playing in THE PDLES has been a wonderful experience in many ways but I have always liked a little heavier music and have felt at times that this wasn’t the right kind of forum for the music I’d most like to play. It’s simply time to move on. ” Joacim Cans (vocalist) stated: “Replacing Stefan is not easy; he has a very characteristic way of playing and is a great guitarist. But Pontus will add a different style than Stefan since they are two quite different persons. I’m looking forward to see how we will mesh as a band during the coming months!” Date: Apr 20 2008 As Reported by: admin Tags:.
