Bomb suspect ‘may be part of terror group’
Telegraph.co.uk – Apr 21, 2008
He must have undergone a massive change in identity. Mr Ibrahim’s MySpace page last updated before he apparently began to take in interest in Islam gave the impression of a normal teenager. n it he described himself as a fan of “hardcore techno trance and nu metal” music and lists his interests as “singing in a band hanging out lots of stuff. Mr Ibrahim described himself as a non-smoking teetotal Muslim. His appearance however has changed dramatically since the picture on that page was taken said the source who identified it.

We will just add our twist to it. ne of the main points the group is trying to get out to people is that metal music can be listened to and played by anyone. Even though the music has been traditionally looked at as what Amend referred to as ‘white-kid music’ metal can be enjoyed my people from many different walks of life. DVD Review: Korn: Live at Montreux
The Trades – Apr 21, 2008
It was an up-and-coming band that I hadn’t heard of yet but one of the other employees was gushing over. f course it was Korn and they were pretty cool guys. I saw them in concert many times at the Milk Bar and Club 5 bought all of their CD’s and have always been entertained. Fast-forward to today and the band is a shell of what they once were… Fast-forward to today and the band is a shell of what they once were. As the last concert to be filmed before the departure of Welch and Silveria "Live at Montreaux" should be a lasting moment of the best metal bands to come out of the ’90’s; unfortunately it isn’t. The main problem here is that the editing suffers from what I refer to as "MTV Attention Span Editing;" the camera never stays on one shot longer than three seconds so you are constantly barraged with changing images and angles. This type of editing is fine for a sub-four-minute video when there is little time to get the message the story or whatever of the video across. Unfortunately during a concert it gets a bit annoying when the viewer wants to feel as though they’re part of the crowd and not watching a video of the song. It also eats away from the energy this concert flourishes on.
Music Review: Whitesnake CD
San Francisco Chronicle – Apr 21, 2008
tmpl –>(04-21) 13:34 PDT (AP) –Whitesnake “Good To Be Bad” (SPV): It’s only April but Whitesnake has laid down the marker for the best hard rock record of the year; anyone wanting the crown will have to top this excellent effort the band’s first new studio album in 11 years. The masters of melodic metal led by frontman David Coverdale have brought back old-school power rock — heavy enough to satisfy the headbanger within but catchy enough to embed the song in your brain. The band’s ever-changing lineup now sports the twin guitar attack of Doug Aldrich (Dio) and Reb Beech (Alice Cooper Dokken Winger) and both play with speed ferocity and melody. From the opening riffs of “Best Years” to the title track and the fast-paced rocker “Got What You Need” the pair perfectly complement Coverdale’s wails. The best track is “Lay Down Your Love” the closest thing to a metal mash-up of Whitesnake classics “Slow And Easy” and “Still of The Night. ” The latter track is particularly evident here from the bump-and boogie riff that shimmies then pauses for Coverdale’s vocals to the subdued mid-tonal middle… The band’s ever-changing lineup now sports the twin guitar attack of Doug Aldrich (Dio) and Reb Beech (Alice Cooper Dokken Winger) and both play with speed ferocity and melody. And the catchy “All For Love” cops the main riff from the Kansas classic “Carry n Wayward Son. “‘Til The End f Time” closes the album on a note reminiscent of mid-’70s acoustic Led Zeppelin and even finishes with a “Kashmir” riff.

?If I can go to Big Weekend I will definitely be there. But I won?t be wearing this? he said pointing to his dog collar. ?William Booth once said ?Why does the devil have to have all the good music?? You cannot really worship God to thrash metal ? it isn?t exactly my favourite music style -? but hip hop; why not??.
Metallica Talk New LP US Tour at Frenzied Record Store Day
Rolling Stone – Apr 21, 2008
Ending a grubby shivering boozy three-day parking lot camp-out for 400 fans Rasputin Music and DVDs in Mountain View CA near San Jose opened its doors at 10:30 a. to give away hundreds of RSD commemorative posters T-shirts and CDs… I was working in a bookstore and they came in to buy a shitload of videos CD’s books and magazines. Both guys were unbelievably nice and Kirk even stuck around to talk music for a few minutes. For all the trouble they’ve brought upon themselves with their anti-piracy efforts and their goofy documentary I’ll always remember that experience over a decade ago.
