Then after sobering up they listened back to the tracks and decided that while there were some good ideas and heavy riffs the songs sounded too much like a hybrid of Hatebreed and Crowbar… According to kitman Walter “Monsta” Ryan the record won’t be called Gangsta as has been rumored. “It’s just one track off the CD and may change” he wrote in an update. “When we are all finished with the music and the artwork we will release it to you as soon as it’s ready. We’re working hard to make it real heavy for you.

When the metal band W. released its 1992 album “The Crimson Idol” it achieved a sort of cult status thanks to its tale of fictional rock star Jonathan Steel… What we tried to do is make it sound as close to the record as it possibly could be. Lawless explained that it has been a challenge to put together the show which features “The Crimson Idol” in its entirety followed by a 10-minute intermission and then a hits set. The difficulty was in the technical aspects of the music which he wouldn’t explain. “It was an incredible challenge” he said. “It was very painstaking very time consuming. When you look at it when it’s done you say ‘What’s the big deal all about?’ That’s the way it should be. It should be the kind of thing that when the listener or the viewer looks at it they don’t give it a second thought.

AMEBIX was formed in England during 1978 and are a band that many consider to have started the sub genre crust punk. The band first appeared on the first Crass Records ‘Bullshit Detector’ compilation LP followed by the release of several now highly-regarded releases. Their music was heavily influenced by Mot?ad Black Sabbath Venom and early Killing Joke and combined with an ethos and worldview akin to Crass represented their non-traditional lifestyles. In 1985 the band met Jello Biafra of Dead Kennedys and become the first UK signing to his label Alternative Tentacles with the release of their ‘Arise’ LP. In 1987 the band signed to Heavy Metal Records for the album ‘Monolith’ though difficulties from the release led to the band eventually splitting. Such notable bands as Sepultura Neurosis Napalm Death and Deviated Instinct have since paid homage to the band. ” It earned Linkin Park numerous 2007 best-of awards and the band continued to be one of rock’s most dependable ticket sellers with its “Projekt Revolution” tour in Summer 2007 — another tour is slated for 2008 — and assorted other concert treks. “I think that the longer that we’re around and the more music that we make. the more people will realize that we’re not just this band that’s going to disappear or be part of a specific trend or fad” says 31-year-old vocalist Chester Bennington. “I think people are opening up to the idea that we are a band that’s not afraid of extending ourselves and spreading our wings pushing the boundaries of what is acceptable for us… Guitarist Brad Delson “didn’t even touch a guitar for the first six months we were working on music” Bennington says instead working with keyboards and other sounds. Meanwhile Shinoda was crafting melodies rather than raps. 1 way to sabotage that goal would be to rap over something. So it was kind of funny. Mike started realizing like ‘What am I going to do on this album?
