” is excellent and getting deserved airplay on the video channels. “Eye of the Storm” shows that there are other album tracks from next weeks album that are equally as good as “Scream”… There is a lot less screaming which im a tiny bit miffed about but overall it is an amazing album and my favourite song has to be waking the demon. The band have also been nominated for four kerrang awards so if you get a spare minute go on thier site and vote for them! Kristen Cowan Western Grove AR on March 25th 2008***I am amazed by you guys!!! You totally rock and I love your new album “Scream Aim Fire”!!! Being throwbacks yourself how does one feel about the new school “throwback artists”?That whole kind of electro rap scene is okay. At first we just really tried. It’s kind of like the hair metal bands of the 80′s; like M?y Cr?strong>. Honestly these are the only two who have contemporary songs on the list who are probably throwbacks and that is Kany?est and Jay-Z. In terms of the event and the people who we champion for the event you can say Kany?strong> and Jay. You can’t really say that Jay is a throwback because he’s been doing it. So really Kany?strong> is a good look… I can hear booty bass in the club but I can’t hear that in my car. In New York you’ve seen bars that play that and it just seems the people like that this is the new scene. The music that we appreciate and celebrate at Hip Hop Karaoke didn’t have to come out in 1988 but the music regardless is timeless. In the vein of American Idol how do you guys see these competitors for the championship? The communist answer is to say that all of these guys are great and could be entertainers in their own right. The prizes for the competition are a subscription to Sirius Satellite radio with a player for three months a grab bag full of Hip Hop related items and a naked picture of Diggedy and a surprise. [Laughs] Some of the contestants have a lot of personality and guts especially to go on the stage but they may not have the best voice or be the best writer. There are six out of the twelve that could really do something with a mic.
For crying out loud

21released their famous “weepy” single “Boys Don’t Cry” in 1979 that specifically rejected the notion of the strong silent male. Indeed rock music seems to be a particularly powerful emotional outlet for young males. A recent study by Stuart Cadwallader a psychologist at the University of Warwick U. found that heavy metal music was of particular emotional benefit to young males of high intelligence. His survey of 1000 gifted students found that many adolescent metal fans are extremely bright and use the music to help them deal with the stresses and strains of being gifted social outsiders. “We are looking at a group with lower than average self-esteem that does not feel quite as well adjusted.

We’re all in a band in the metal genre. The big thing I am stoked on is that we are on an indie label and we’re nominated. To me that is definitely cool that the voters recognize the hard work of indie bands and our love of this kind of music. "That blistering metal love has been boiling out and over across the United States for a while now. The band’s 2003 Metal Blade Records debut "Frail Words Collapse" had the catchy but crushing song "Forever" that helped the band sell 210000 CDs making it the label best-seller. In 2005 with an even more impressive follow-up "Shadows are Security" the band came further crawling out of the underground nailing down a slot on the zzfest 2005 side stage armed with the epic song "Through Struggle" that’s gotten 1. 5 million plays on the band’s MySpace page.
