This was a “Tribute to the ld Gray Warehouse” performance art production by the Art Wars Club of San Dieguito Academy High School. Held Friday night in a metal warehouse in downtown Encinitas the event drew a serious crowd of kids and adults. The Encinitas school's visual arts teacher Jeremy Wright conceived of the Art Wars concept three years ago: Two student artists create a spontaneous mural on a 10-foot-by-10-foot canvas while student musicians improvise. Before the event begins the canvas is divided into 100 1-foot squares that are sold for $20 each to audience members as a fundraiser for the art club. The artists have one hour to complete the mural before it is deconstructed and buyers take their still-wet panels home in a pizza box. Before artists Hannah Shoetz 17 and Burch 18 began their work Friday night Shoetz admitted to a small case of nerves… “It's a diverse kind of creativity. Everyone can express themselves in their own way. ”David and Tami Gan Chicago residents vacationing in Encinitas were out getting coffee when they heard the music and wandered inside. “It seem like there's a real energy and creativity here” David Gan said. “This is great. ”“Tribute to the ld Gray Warehouse” took place at 687 S.

The tracks are often little more than a ticking brittle beat a nearly subliminal bass line and perhaps a chord or two — house music utterly deflated — behind the restrained vocals of Prosumer and a female singer Elif Biçer. The album gradually moves toward commonplace functional club tracks with titles like “Makes Me Wanna Dance”; after all Prosumer is a resident D.
