Guilt trip that is

The hard-hitting soundtrack alone gives a lot of attitude personality and edge. If you are the kind of person who does not play video games but enjoys heavy metal music then these soundtrack is highly recommend. ne should at least get hold of the soundtracks of the game. The voiceover (which is in Japanese) is also of high quality. Just about all the new 2-D fighting games today feel very retro in terms of graphics and also feel very rough rehashed and limited. Accent Core on the other hand is without a shadow of a doubt the future and saviour of the dying genre.

Next comes the music: the tiny Jadavpur practice pad pretty much holds a noise fest every time Tanmoy (from Rabindra Bharati University) lashes out on the drums joined by guitarist Neel Roy (graduate from Maharaja Manindra Chandra College) bassist Deep Banerjee (B. Com final-year student of St Xavier’s College) and growling vocalist Debashish Pradhan (B. Tech passout from ICFAI Institute of Technology Hyderabad). This is no-holds-barred death metal and the guys behind it are called Atmahatya… Next comes the music: the tiny Jadavpur practice pad pretty much holds a noise fest every time Tanmoy (from Rabindra Bharati University) lashes out on the drums joined by guitarist Neel Roy (graduate from Maharaja Manindra Chandra College) bassist Deep Banerjee (B. Bjorn again believers

"It’s quite a talent" Longstokin admits. "It’s been 18 years. We do seem quite ageless remarkable isn’t it? The music makes us very happy. And we have a wonderful plastic surgeon but we’re not allowed to name him. "If it started out weird by now it’s progressed to the next stage. Determined to claw my credibility back I try a trick question: do you have a special connection to their music?"I have heard that there’s another band that plays very similar songs" Longstokin says. "I think we come from the same land where they write very catchy tunes… I recently met (Kiss member) Paul Stanley and he plays in a glitzy band as well. We both like to wear lots of make-up. "I do like the rock and heavy metal. I am a big fan but Benny not so much. He is what do you call a bit of a dork actually. "Just this morning I caught him singing to himself in the mirror a Carpenter’s song Close To You. It’s a lovely song but they’re truly dorks.

Music : Musicians: How to find band members

These are established bands that are looking for single or multiple members for various reasons (their guitarist overdosed on cocaine bass player got fired for drinking problems etc). This might go without saying but make sure you really do like the type of music a band plays before deciding to join their group! There are many musicians I know that play in a band where they don’t even like the music they play all just to “gain experience” to get their foot in the door and hopefully move on to greener pastures. It can’t be stressed enough that if you don’t like the music you play you’re going to do a half-assed job at it so why bother?… For example if you’ve only started playing guitar learning all Green Day songs for a few months don’t expect to join a thrash metal band that requires you to do sweep-picking fast arpeggios or any other insane guitar techniques. Make sure you choose a band where the technicality of the music they play is comfortable with your own skill level as a musician. A huge advantage for joining an established band (maybe) is that most of the back-end stuff is already taken care of. All you have to do is show up for rehearsals and play shows as scheduled.

?I ran across a 1958 newspaper story last week in which teenagers surveyed thought rock music would last until at least 1963. I’d imagine some of those teens are still rockin’ today. A small minority thought rock music would be a menace to society and were concerned even then with lyrics. ne girl said she listened to lyrics before buying because she didn’t want obscenity in her home. Ah the innocence of the 1950s. She’s in her mid-60s today if still alive. Wonder what she thought about the teen in Cleveland who went on a shooting rampage in his high school a few weeks ago?The boy who was into Goth and dressed in all-black had told friends he was a Marilyn Manson follower and didn’t believe in God… Maybe that “small minority” mentioned were more insightful than anyone realized. I don’t think rock overall hurts at all but one sub-genre is a very real threat. These groups have lead “singers” who yell not sing in guttural bellows and if they can even be understood are muttering anti-Christian thoughts. Check out some of their lyrics online and be ready for a shock. Rock’s always been about rebellion. But this goes too far.

Spain frets over future of flamenco which has failed to reach out to…
Augusta Chronicle – Augusta Chronicle (subscription) – Oct 27, 2007
“Flamenco is distancing itself from young people and they are the ones who can keep it alive” Calado said. Flamenco classes would have lots of empty places were it not for foreign students and half of the hits on her Web page come from abroad Calado said. The Grammy awards give out a prize for flamenco music and the Spanish media barely bother to cover the awards telecast from Los Angeles. “It is disgraceful” Calado said. Fifteen years ago Fernandez who makes an average of eight guitars a year decided to work exclusively for foreigners. Now he doesn’t even raise the metal shutters of his shop when he is inside toiling away. “Foreigners pay you better and they give you fewer problems than Spaniards” Fernandez said… “It is disgraceful” Calado said. They are always happy with the product. For them flamenco is a very serious thing.
