It’s something visceral. Behind the scenes Seattle producer Randall Dunn has helped sculpt the sonic quality of drone. “Metal is one of the last rigid forms of music and I think it’s finally starting to break open” Dunn believes. “I’ve worked sound for over a hundred Sunn0))) shows in the last year and half and I’ve witnessed all these collisions on stage with different musicians. But it never seems out of place. The more open-minded you are the more you can appreciate it. And 17 years in drone music continues to evolve.

Mark Baldwin Rambert’s artistic director appointed him associate choreographer in 2003; his latest work Curious Conscience is his ninth for the company. Next year busy Bonachela launches his own group. Until now he’s mostly used pop or heavy metal music creating the dance first then adapting it to suit whatever recorded music he’d chosen. Baldwin diverted him on to a new path for Curious Conscience by proposing Benjamin Britten’s Serenade for Tenor Horn and Strings which meant that Bonachela had to decide whether he wanted to dramatise the six poems originally sung by Peter Pears. Their imagery in Britten’s plangent settings was different from anything he had encountered before. His response has been enjoyably unpredictable. Together with his designer Alan Macdonald he has turned the swooning doom-eager nocturne into night sweats for a frantic generation.

A phone in premium segment (which this phone is at over 20k) should come with good set of earphones. The bundled stereo earphones lack the tight bass and Treble is horrible. And it does not sound good for rock and metal music at all. I immediately switched to the earphones that came with my Cowon player and it made huge difference. The phone obviously is capable of producing excellent results playing your favorite music collection. Results were good and you wont miss a MP3 player if you have this phone. The music playback is good as long as you dont convert your song collection to eAAC using nokia pc suit.
